Add your KW email to Outlook

In order to set up your KW email in Outlook, follow the steps below:

Gmail Settings

1. Before we go to Outlook, there are some settings within Gmail that we need to enable first. We'll start by logging in to Gmail.com with your KW email address.

2. Once in Gmail, at the top right of the page click on the Settings (gear shape) icon and choose Settings from the drop-down.


 


3. Click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab at the top of the settings page.

4. On the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" page, scroll down to the "IMAP Access" section and ensure that IMAP is enabled.



*Note: ​If you have Two Step Verification for your KW Google account turned on, ​you can skip the next step as you will not see an option to "Allow Less Secure Apps."

​5. Go to the My Account section of this Google account and make sure the "Allow Less Secure Apps" setting is turned on. For these steps, click here.

Once these settings are enabled in Gmail you are ready to setup the account in Outlook.

Outlook Settings

1. At the top of the page, click on File.

2. On this page, click on Account Settings, then choose Account Settings when that drops down.


 


3. Click New on the "Account Settings" page.





4. ​Instead of filling out your information on this page, choose Manual Setup or Additional Server Types and click Next.


 


 
5. Choose POP or IMAP and click Next.

6. Now you will see the server settings page. Complete the following fields:

 


 
*Note: ​If you have Two Step Verification for your KW Google account turned on, you will not use your normal email password on this settings page. Google will generate a 16-digit password specifically for Outlook that you will use. For more info on this, click here.

7. Click More Settings to continue.


 


8. On the "Advanced" tab, complete the following fields in the order listed below:

 
    
          
  

9. On the Outgoing Server tab:
     
      A. Check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.”
      B. Select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server.” 
      C. Press OK.


 

 
10. Click Next to test your settings and then click on Finish to complete the setup.

 

 
Give it a few minutes and you should see your emails start to sync up and flow into the Outlook inbox.
