KW Website FAQs

Below are some common frequently asked questions about the new agent KW Websites.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: New KW websites are included in your monthly technology fee.

Q: Are there setup fees?
A: No

Q: Is support included?
A: Yes, included is a 24/7 self-help center, email support 7 days per week and phone support 5 days per week by Placester. Placester support can be reached at 800-728-8391or

Q: Does it integrate with my current CRM?
A: Leads will be pushed into your eEdge database as well as sent via e-mail.

Q: Will we automatically have access to the IDX/will I need to fill out IDX paperwork?
A: In some cases, paperwork will be required to activate your IDX feed on your new website.

Q: Will it integrate with KWLS?
A: Yes, it will support the use of either your local MLS integration (IDX) or an integration with KWLS for associates that don’t have access to an MLS feed.

Q: Will I be able to customize my site?
A: The platform has a host of customizations built-in. From adjustable color schemes, unlimited pages, navigation, logo, slideshow, images and featured listings to name a few. There are also approved solution partners to assist with additional customization.

Q: Will our office logos already be included in the site?
A: Yes.

Q: Will Market Centers get their own websites?
A: Placester and KW are working together to provide Market Center websites in the near future.

Q: For current Placester customers, what happens if they have a subscription and they’ve already paid Placester prior to the KW launch?
A: Any current Placester customer who has purchased our base website product either Tier 1 or with the NAR discount will need to independently contact Placester and make sure the appropriate migration is made to the KW platform.

Q: Will you be transferring my website content?
A: No. We are working with preferred vendors to see if this is an option.

Q: Will I be able to migrate my existing eAgentC site upgrades?
A: Placester works with approved Solution Partners to the assist with migration and customization options.

Q: Can we customize the theme using custom CSS code?
A: No.

Q: What will our website URL be if we don't have a custom URL?
A: (where ##### is your KW e-mail prefix)

Q: What happens to my website address if I switch over to the new websites?
A: If you have a custom domain, you can map it to the new website.

Q: I have a domain with a third party hosting provider. Will I be able to redirect to the new website?
A: Yes.

Q: Will the omnibox (free-text search) be available in different designs in the future?
A: As of right now this is only available in the KW Madison theme.

Q: Can additional websites be purchased in addition to the KW site?
A: Yes, you may choose to purchase additional sites.

Q: Are there custom page templates? Will the pages support custom Google maps? HTML, Java support?
A: Yes there are custom page templates. Custom Google Maps are not supported at this time. HTML is supported on general content pages and posts. Java is not supported.

Q: I'm in a membership group (e.g. Luxury Homes, KW Commercial, Farm and Ranch), is my website different from the rest?
A: Yes, Luxury, Commercial, and Farm and Ranch Agents will have access to an agent site, and a membership site at no additional cost.

Q: Can I use the other themes available in the platform?
A: Yes.

Q: Is it possible to get past blogs posted from the past blog posts from my current blog added to this?
A: Yes, they will have to be added manually.

Q: If we already have the blog plug in, will it roll over?
A: No it will not.

Q: Will I have access to all the WordPress plugins?
A: Not at this time.

Q: Does this mean I have three websites?
A: For a while. We are still finalizing the timeline, but eAgentC and eEdge websites will ultimately be phased out. You will receive plenty of notice of transition dates.

Q: How does this affect our eEdge website? Does this immediately replace those sites?
A: This does not affect your eEdge website and does not immediately replace those sites.

Q: Is this going to use Wolfnet's IDX, or eEdge's IDX, or a new IDX?
A: This is going to be a new IDX provider (Placester).

Q: What about agents with multiple MLS's? Can they have multiple IDX searches?
A: Each site will have one IDX integration. Our roadmap includes the ability for multiple integrations per site.

Q: Can listing filters be applied to the site?
A: Yes, users can narrow down the listings across the entire site by zip code, city, county, price, beds, baths, etc. using global filters.

Q: What do we do with our customers who are currently in eEdge and have saved properties? Or saved listing alerts?
A: This is a new website and will require customers to set saved properties and listings again.

Q: Can we have it set up to send to another CRM our Team is using, including KW TeamLeads?
A: Leads from the KW websites can be sent to other products via lead forwarding by e-mail.

Q: Can we change the photos in the template design?
A: Yes, you can customize to your brand

Q: Will the site allow us to embed videos?
A: It is allowed in posts and general content pages.

Q: When will the new websites be available in Canada?
A: There will be a multi-phased roll out that begins in April.

Q: Are there any differences for Canadian KW Websites?
A: All Canadian accounts receive a .ca domain (e.g. for
their KW Website powered by Placester. Canadian locations (e.g. provinces, postal codes, neighbourhoods) are recognized and searchable. DDF data integration for Canadian data sources (MLS, CREA) is supported and display complies with local and national regulations.

Q: Will KW Websites provide different language options?
A: Right now KW Website theme content can be presented in English (US), English (Canadian), or French. Additionally The website admin panel can be viewed in English (US), English (Canadian) or French (Canadian).
