An associate's primary email address is the main address that they use to log into Gmail, the provider of kw.com email accounts. Associates can switch their primary email address by taking the steps below:
1. Click here to set up an email alias and submit a request for the address you want as your primary email address. It is important the alias be requested before step 2, to ensure Tech Support can verify the account.
2. Please chat with Tech Support from the kw.com email account that you want to change, so they can verify that you own the account. Please keep in mind Tech Support will not be able to switch the primary email address request via email, it must be through chat. Here's a template you can fill out and send in the live chat:
I would like to change my primary email address from [email@example.com] to my new alias that I recently requested, which is [firstname.lastname@example.org].
3. Tech Support will process the request. When they confirm it's complete, you will be able to log in with your new primary address and access your email.
What happens with this change?
The only change is the email address that you use to log into the account. Emails sent to either your new primary email address or your old one will still be routed to the same inbox of the new primary email account. You can start alerting everyone to your new email address, but will not lose mail either way.
Please note: if you have DocuSign connected in Command, you'll need to follow this workflow to update the connection with your new KW email.
Why do I have to send the request from my current @kw.com account?
This is done for security purposes so we know the request is coming from you and not from a third party acting on your behalf.
