When an agent leaves a team or when a Team dissolves there are a few things to keep in mind before giving the MCA the go ahead to remove agents or deactivate the team. Currently, Teams are fully integrated with Contacts and Opportunities so these are the key applets to keep in mind. Check out the info below before making any changes to the team status.
Agent is Leaving Team
When an agent is leaving a team they should work with their MC Leadership and Rainmaker to ensure the offboarding goes smoothly.
Before the agent is removed fully from the team, they must move the contacts they own from the team account and into their Personal account. Any personally owned contact that is not moved over to the personal account will disappear from the team database and can only be recovered through an escalation with KW Support. Agents should be aware that when they leave the team, the team Opportunities they worked on will stay with the team, as the Owner of every team Opportunity is the Rainmaker. They will see any opportunities that they are assigned to in a team pipeline tab with an "Inactive" label, on the Opportunities Dashboard, where they can access these and they can remove themselves as an assignee if needed. Team is Dissolving
When a team dissolves the Rainmaker will retain the opportunity data and team contact data.
The team owned contacts should move to the Rainmaker's or an agent's personal account before the team is dissolved, by the MCA. We recommend that the rainmaker check the contacts to ensure they are correctly attributed, such as the contacts showing the correct owner before the team is disbanded. Any contact that is not moved over to a personal account will be lost, once the team is dissolved, and can only be recovered through an escalation with KW Support. They can work with the team members to change account ownerships as needed.
The rainmaker will see all the team owned opportunities under the Team pipeline in their opportunities applet. The pipeline will show (inactive) next to the team name, but the Rainmaker can finish out any opportunities here as needed.
