When managing Team Opportunities, there are two levels of access you need to be aware of: Opportunity Details/Commission and Document Compliance. Team members need to be aware of what needs to happen for them to get access to both aspects of the Opportunity:
Opportunity Details/Commissions
When dealing with access to Opportunity Details and Commission Details (completing and submitting a Commission Request), there are two groups of team members to be aware of for this: Agents and Admins.
Agents
Agents can only get access to Opportunity/Commission Details if they are added as an Opportunity Assignee, or added as an agent in the Agent Payment section of the Commission Request.
- The agent you add as the primary agent on the offer will be automatically added to the Commission Request. But, any additional agents have to be added manually, after the Commission Request has been generated (once the offer has been accepted).
Admins
As a team admin, you might not ever get added as an agent in the Agent Payment section, of the Commission Request, and it might get tedious to assign your admins to every Opportunity. But, team admins need access to help out agents on the team. Because of this, there are 3 roles in the CommandMC Team Administration Tool (these roles are controlled by your MCA) that now give automatic access to team Opportunity/Commission details:
- Team Leader (Rainmaker)
- Administrative Assistant
- Transaction Coordinator
As long as the team admin has one of these roles (probably Administrative Assistant or Transaction Coordinator), they will have full access to edit any of the details of the Opportunity and the Commission Request.
Document Compliance
In this context, when we talk about Opportunity Document Compliance, we are talking about editing not only the high-level details, but also document management, offers, timeline, notes, and the checklists.
By default, the Rainmaker of the team will always be set as the Owner of Team Opportunities. This gives automatic access to all Team Opportunities, so they wouldn't need to be added as an assignee. |
To get access to the Documents tab of an Opportunity, a team member must be added as an assignee to that Opportunity. If they are not added as an assignee, they will not be able to access the information in the Documents tab, even if they have one of the admin roles that give access to the Opportunity.
