Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is used as an additional security measure to protect your KW Command account during login. MFA will trigger to verify access when logging in from a new device, a new location, or a new browser. When triggered, you’ll be prompted to verify your identity by entering a verification code sent to your Password Recovery email listed on your profile. Once verified you will then be able to login.
If you receive a Multi-Factor Authentication email that you did not request or expect, we recommend resetting your password to ensure the security of your Command account. |
Context
Upon logging into KW Command with your username and password, MFA ensures that only authorized users can access your account by requiring a secondary verification code. This extra step safeguards your account against unauthorized access.
Completing MFA at Login
1. Open your internet browser and navigate to https://agent.kw.com.
2. Once you are at the login screen, log in with your KW login credentials (these are the same login credentials you use to log in to https://mykw.kw.com and https://kwconnect.com).
- The username is not set up to be an email address by default (though you can edit it to be an email address). Usually it is set up as a combination of your first name and last name: jessica.campbell, jcampbell1, etc.
3. Once you successfully log in, the system might send a security code to the Password Recovery Email on file in your KW Profile (MyKW section), within Command. Enter the security code you were sent, then click Continue.
- Security Codes are valid for 15 minutes. If it has taken longer than 15 minutes to receive your code, click Resend Code., below the Continue button.
- Security Codes are case sensitive. Best practice is to copy and paste the code from the email into Command.
- Don't forget to check SPAM and TRASH folders if you don't see the email with your verification code.
4. Click Return to Login Page, then log in again. You will now be able to access Command.
- You will not be prompted to do this if you use the same device in the same location again.
- If you change locations or internet access, this may trigger a new verification.
Troubleshooting MFA Issues
If you face any difficulties with MFA:
- Didn’t Receive the Code? Ensure you have an email address that you have access to as your Password Recovery email. This is a unique identifier and can not be a shared or duplicated email. Your Market Center Leadership will be best able to help you confirm your recovery email and change it if necessary. .
- Code Expired? The verification codes are time-sensitive and expire after 15 minutes. If too much time has passed, return to the login screen and restart the process to receive a new code.
- Have you had to verify multiple times? This is expected if you log in from a new location, new device, and/or a new browser to ensure your account is secure.
