With team functionality in Command, the Ownership field is extremely important. Ownership denotes who can take the lead/contact with them if they leave the team, as well as who has the ability to delete or export the lead/contact.
|
Don't confuse the Account field with Ownership. The Account field determines whether you will work your personally-owned leads/contacts in the team or personal Command account. You can work your personal leads/contacts in the team Command account, and still retain ownership. A lead/contact must be in the team Command account, if you want to give ownership of a lead/contact that is in your personal Command account to the team. You must first change the Account field for that lead/contact to the team. Once that is done, follow the workflow to transfer ownership.
|
Anyone on the team can change the ownership of their personally-owned leads/contacts to the team, which will mean that the agent can no longer take that lead/contact with them, if they leave the team. On the inverse, a Rainmaker (or an associate with Unlimited permissions) has the ability to take a team-owned lead/contact and give ownership to any agent on the team.
To learn how to change the ownership of a lead or contact, follow the steps below:
1. Log in to https://agent.kw.com with your Keller Williams login credentials.
2. Click your name, at the top right of the page, and ensure that your team is selected, not your personal account.
3. Click the Contacts icon, , on the left sidebar.
Transfer Ownership of a Team-owned Lead/Contact to a Team Member |
|
Only team members with Unlimited permissions (or the Rainmaker) can do this. |
1. Find and click the name of the team-owned contact/lead.
2. At the top of the lead/contact record, click the three dots and select Update Ownership.
3. Select the agent you want to give this lead/contact to, then click Choose Account.
This will keep the lead/contact in the team Command account, with them as the owner.
Release Ownership of a Personally-owned Lead/Contact to the Team |
Only the owner of the lead/contact has the ability to transfer ownership of a lead/contact. The Rainmaker does not have access to give your leads/contacts to the team. A lead/contact must be in the team Command account, for you to be able to release ownership to the team. |
1. Find and click the name of the agent-owned contact/lead.
2. In the Account section of the lead/contact record, you will see who owns the lead/contact. If you are the owner, click Release Ownership.
3. A confirmation screen will appear, click Release Ownership.
That lead/contact will now be team-owned, but you will be the primary assignee.
