In Google Contacts you can put contacts in labels to categorize them. Through PieSync you can sync that categorization with Command. In this article, we’ll go over how.
The labels inside Google Contacts cannot be synced through PieSync’s field mappings, click here to learn more. This is because of some technicalities, which cause them to be very unique properties that cannot be mapped to any other regular field in other apps. The way you can sync them is through the IF/THEN rules, click here to learn more, as shown in the screenshot below:
To set this up, you’ll have to create a connection rule for each Label you want to sync with Command. For instance, in this example there is one rule syncing the label ‘Buyer Prospect’ and another one syncing ‘Seller Prospect’.
By including the action of adding a respective tag in Command, PieSync will make sure that the Google label and respective Command tag are kept in sync. That means that each contact added to the label, will receive the tag in Command. The undo-toggle ensures that if they are removed from the label, the tag will also disappear in Command. The other way around-toggle ensures that if contacts are given the label in Command, they are added to the label in Google Contacts.
