Steps to Become KWU Approved
Step 1: Complete the Train the Trainer Series
Attend the Train the Trainer series with one or more of our designated Master Faculty Trainers:
- Take Train the Presenter (#1)
- Take Train the Trainer Advanced Workshop (#2) within two years of submitting your application
- Earn a Master Faculty recommendation during your Advanced Workshop — this is required to apply
💡 Pro Tips from KWU Faculty
- It’s normal to take the Advanced Workshop more than once before earning a recommendation—growth takes time.
- Whenever possible, attend each course with a different Master Faculty to broaden your feedback and deepen your development.
- You can start teaching KWU courses before completing the full series—real-time experience helps you apply feedback, refine your style, and accelerate your growth.
Step 2: Teach 4 KWU Courses in 3 Market Centers
Teach at least four different KWU-approved courses within the past year, across three or more Market Centers.
Required Courses:
- Six Personal Perspectives (full course)
- One Ignite Session (must include the Daily Success System)
-
Two additional KWU approved courses you want to be known for
💡 Pro Tips from KWU Faculty
- Choose courses you know well and can teach from real experience.
- In-person training builds different skills than virtual—prioritize both.
- Teaching at different Market Centers builds confidence and helps secure leadership recommendations.
- Start with your local Market Center, then expand to nearby locations. Need help making connections? Reach out to faculty@kw.com for support.
Step 3: Collect 75 Evaluations with a 4.0+ Average
Gather at least 75 evaluations through KWUeval.com with an average score of 4.0 or higher.
Requirements:
- All four courses must be represented
- Only KWU course evaluations count toward certification
- Max 25% can come from virtual events
- Evaluations are pulled from the 12 months prior to your final application date
💡 Pro Tips from KWU Faculty
- Invite KWU Approved Trainers or Master Faculty to attend and evaluate your sessions
- Add an evaluation slide before your final break or Aha! moment—and share why you're collecting them
- Submit the Evaluation Request Form monthly to access your scores
- You can also use KWUeval.com for non-KWU classes to get feedback (not for certification)
Step 4: Secure 3 Leadership Recommendations
Have three leaders attend one of your four KWU courses and complete a recommendation form. Recommendations can come from your home Market Center or others where you’ve taught.
Eligible Roles:
- Market Center Team Leader
- OP, MCA, or Productivity Coach
- Regional Director (any region)
-
ROM, ROP, or Divisional Leader
💡 Pro Tips from KWU Faculty
- Prioritize inviting leadership to your training with plenty of notice and let them know why their recommendation is important to your journey.
- Leaders will need to complete the Recommendation Form when providing their recommendation.
Step 5: Submit Your KWU Approved Trainer Application
Once all requirements are met, complete and submit the official KWU Approved Trainer Application.
💡 Pro Tips from KWU Faculty
- Double-check your evaluation count and recommendation forms before submitting
- Make sure you’ve attended Train the Trainer Advanced Workshop within the two-year window
- Keep a personal copy of all documentation for your records
- Not sure where you are in the process? Reach out to faculty@kw.com for help checking your evaluations, recommendations, and progress
Step 6: Complete the 360-Degree Review
Once your application is submitted, KWU will conduct a 360-degree review to determine final approval.
This includes:
- Feedback from KWU Faculty on your training performance and KWU representation
-
A standing check and feedback from KWRI Leadership
💡 Pro Tips from KWU Faculty
- Continue teaching and collecting evaluations while your review is in progress—it shows ongoing commitment
- Stay responsive in case KWU or Faculty reach out with questions or additional requests
- Final decisions will be communicated after the full review process is complete
