At Keller Williams, members of KW are able to have an @kw.com email account through Google. These accounts can be both personal or specific to a KW office, but it is important to remember the distinctions between the two as there some specific differences.
Personal KW Email
The personal KW email accounts are created on and tied to a particular person's account per this article.
This means that the email belongs to the person whose account that email was created on. If the person in question leaves KW, their KW account will be deactivated which will trigger the KW email account to begin an automatic email removal process.
Once the email reaches the final stage of the removal process and is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Additionally, a personal KW email cannot be transferred to another person or to the office.
Office KW Email
The office KW email accounts are unique in that they are not tied to a particular person, but instead belong to the office. This means that they are not in danger of being deleted through the automatic email removal process.
Currently there are only two KW email accounts that are specifically for the office. These are:
- klrw###@kw.com (### being the MC#)
- frontdesk###@kw.com (### being the same as above)
A detail to note with the above email accounts is that as they are not tied to a particular KW account, they do not have the same options for resetting the password within mykw.kw.com as the personal KW accounts. If a password reset is ever needed for either of the office KW email accounts, please have a member of office leadership reach out to KW Tech Support either through Live Chat or via phone.

Email Accounts Tied To Specific Roles
Often a Market Center has specific roles to handle different aspects of the office such as Agent Services or Director of First Impressions to give an example and a desire for those roles to have a specific email account to handle any emails concerning that role's responsibilities.
It is currently recommended that if the above is desired for the Market Center, that the account in question be made as a regular gmail.com account.
There are not currently office KW email accounts that exist for things like an Agent Services role. If you have someone who is fulfilling that role create an Agent Services specific KW email on their personal account, that email account as noted above will belong to that person only. In the event they move to a different role, that email account cannot be transferred to whoever takes over the role. In the event that this person leaves KW, the email will be deleted once the automatic email removal process completes.
