Phone carriers like T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T require registration to send application-to-personal text messages (also known as A2P) using a 10 digit long code (also known as 10DLC). This means all new and existing Twilio users will need to go through this registration process. However, this process is done automatically after the purchase of a Twilio subscription in the KW Marketplace. The registration process involves verifying billing information provided by the Twilio user through the KW Marketplace and comparing it with the phone carriers database.
In most cases, the automatic registration should be successfully completed without any issue. However, there may be instances where billing information is either missing or incorrect. In those situations the registration will be unsuccessful and the user will need to submit a form to our KW Support team providing basic billing information. If a user is unsuccessfully registered they may experience delays when sending out messages through Twilio.
