If you have a number with another service, there are a few steps to take first in order to transfer it into KW Command. First, you will need to check with your current service for their steps to have your number released to Twilio. Next, you will need to get a personal Twilio account in order to release the number to it. At this step in the process you will work with your current service support and Twilio support to have the number moved over to your personal Twilio. After you have the number in your personal Twilio you can have the number transferred from your Twilio account to KW Command.
There is a warning banner in Twilio on your number that says you must set up an emergency address in order to avoid a charge. Do Not set up that emergency address. Doing so may cause the transfer process to get stuck. You will not be charged unless you make an emergency call on your number from your personal Twilio account before it’s transferred to Command. |
